Many years ago I was fortunate to be given access to the first marriage records for Coolgardie from July 1894 to Aug 1898. These marriages are not only a record of two people joining in matrimony but it also show the broad number of the different nationalities and occupations of these first pioneers.

My Great grandfather is the John Thomas McMahon who married Linda Vetter.

John Alves and Mabel Taylor, married 1897, were my paternal great grandparents.

My G.GF William Gillett is on your list. Was hoping to get to Boulder Friday for genealogy but due Power ourages had to continue en route home from Cocklebiddy instead.
Was trying to do genealogy for William Gillett and Mary (White) nee Perkins this big trip, but had road blocks on this Oz trip for follow-up ups in Broken Hill and Tassie as services there unavailable for one reason or another. Even town where he was born in Saltia SA no longer exists 🙁 Have to do things online again.
