Hi Moya, My family, Haddow , owned the gold mine named Grace Darling at the 402. We moved to Broad Arrow for me to attend school in 1948. Our house was taken by jinker and deposited opposite the Broad Arrow pub. I have many wonderful memories of my days in the gold fields. Look forward to more info on your page.
Hello Lynn,
My Grandparents (Oates) owned the Broad Arrow Pub. I recall the name Haddow. I can remember Gran Foley visiting my mother in Frank St. Boulder. I have a photo of her if you would like a copy.
Rae Paine nee Kavanagh.
Hi Lynn I would indeed like to have a copy of the photograph. Many thanks, Moya
Rae Paine nee Kavanagh. .. for some reason I missed this message and I am so excited to read this. Fannie Foley was my great grand mother. I remember Mrs Oates from the Broad Arrow Pub very well, I was always scared of her. I remember Marion And Ben. I loved Ben and he often stayed at our house across from the Pub.. Vanessa was a little girl when we left Broad Arrow and she and my little sister Cheryl were very close. Where do you fit in???.
Hello Lyn,
My mother was the eldest daughter of Richard Knight & Mary Jane Oates. For most of their married life my parents lived in Boulder.I have more news of Marion, Ben and Vanessa. Perhaps through Moya we could contact each other privately.
Regards
Rae
