THE LATE MRS. PATRICK LYNCH.
FUNERAL CEREMONY.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Margaret Lynch, wife of Mr. Patrick Lynch, of the Australia Hotel, Kalgoorlie, took place yesterday morning. The remains, which were placed in a handsome silver-mounted polished cedar casket were conveyed to St. Mary’s Church, where at 10.30 o’clock a Solemn Requiem High Mass was celebrated. The Very Rev. Father Walsh, G.S.S.R., was celebrant, Rev. Father Moss (Kalgoorlie) deacon, and the Rev. Father Donogher (Boulder) sub deacon.
A special choir of priests, composed of the following, sang the musical portion of the High Mass: -Very Rev. Dean Kiely, B.F., Rev. Eather Brosnan (Coolgardie), Rev. Father Lyons (Kalgoorlie), and the Rev. Father Lavin (Boulder). Immediately after Mass the absolution was pronounced by the Very Rev. Dean Kiely, after which he made a touching reference to the deceased lady.

He eulogised her very many excellent qualities as a citizen and a Roman Catholic, and stated that her calm and peaceful death was a fitting climax to a truly Christian life. As the cortege left the church the organ sounded the sad strains of the “Dead March” in “Saul.” It then wended its way to the Kalgoorlie Cemetery, headed by the officers and members’ of the H.A.C. B. Society, the Irish National Foresters, and about two hundred scholars from the Christian Brothers College. Following the hearse were two mourning carriages bearing the relatives of the deceased lady, and a long procession of vehicles containing a great number of the business people of Kalgoorlie and Boulder. The ceremony at the graveside was most impressive.
