Finally after many years of work the Coolgardie Cemetery is now on line for the first time ever. I had hoped to have all the headstone/memorial photos also inserted into the list to co inside with the ‘History and Hauntings’ tour this coming Saturday run by the Goldfields Tourism Network at the cemetery but unfortunately I doubt I will get them up loaded in time. If you would like to go to my site and in the Town or Cemetery section you will see the Coolgardie Cemetery broken up into four section. As I write the headstone photos are entered up to the end of ‘B’. Why is it you always think things will be quicker to do than the time they really do take?

As with everything the Cemetery is a work in progress. If you see anything which you feel is incorrect or something you would like to add do get in touch and I will be happy to investigate. I would love to hear any feedback you might like to give. To finally have this list online is something I have been working so long on that I can’t believe its actually there.

Fantastic work! I found some information about a couple of relatives yesterday and I didn’t even realise the list was brand new! Thank you for your hard work. 🙂
Hi Jess Glad you were able to find some info. I have been trying to get it on line for so long now, the info is a collaborative effort buy a few people. There is so much still to be entered but I decided to put it up there and then just add info as I go along. If you have any info to add to it on your family it is always welcome. If you are interested in any updates you can subscribe to my newsletter, it would be most appreciated. kind regards Moya
Hi Moya, My blog post about Nellie Clifton Hurst may be of interest to you(http://ancestrysearch.wordpress.com/2014/05/14/nellie-clifton-hurst/). It was her mother, half sister and baby son who were buried in Coolgardie Cemetery. I’ll send some additional info about them a little later and will definitely subscribe to your newsletter. 🙂
Great news, Moya. A lot of hard work has gone into this and I’ll pass the news on of course Unfortunately your question “Why is it you always think things will be quicker to do than the time they really do take?” will probably remain one of the great mysteries of life!!
