I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our subscribers, both those that have recently joined us and many who have been with us since the beginning over nine years ago, a very peaceful and happy Christmas. I am fortunate to have all my four children and their partners and the three grandchildren all together under one roof this year. Its a special effort by all, as our youngest son is moving to the UK for a while. I’m sure everyone will know that its difficult with grown children to get everyone together as we have to share them with their in-laws, but I am very grateful we have this year, who knows how long it will be before we can do it again.
There are now 1579 stories on the blog, so hopefully there is something that will interest everyone who loves the Western Australian Goldfields. You can do a subject or a name search to find what interests you. No need to wait for the weekly newsletter. Please do share the stories with friends and family who perhaps are not very computer minded or even just encourage them to join the list. We have one lovely lady who works in an aged care home, and she prints the stories out each week and takes them to read to her residents, how lovely is that???
I hope we will move on to better and bigger things for 2023. It certainly has been a rough ride for many during the last two years, but hopefully things will soon be more normal for us all.
As always, I welcome contributions from our readers, if you have a family story or some photographs to share please do let me know. Everyone loves a good family story.

My New Years resolution is to not allow any email for assistance to go over 1 month before I reply. You may think this is a rather long time, but if you saw how late I sometimes am, you will think me amazingly efficient. We get about 20-30 inquires a day so they can mount up very quickly. However, I always promise to reply to everyone, so thank you for your patience up to now.
As this weeks stories fall on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we will be having some Christmas stories from the blog, new to some, but if you have read them before they are always worth a second read. In fact I often read the stories myself with hardly any recollection of having written them out before. (:
Wishing you all the best for 2023, I may even have a sherry to celebrate.
