This photograph shows the St George’s Presbyterian Church in Moran Street Boulder ready for the Anzac Service on the 26th April 1931. In the far right you will see displayed the Honour Board which is today in the keeping of the Goldfields War Museum. It has the names of 114 service men and members of the church 15 of which made the ultimate sacrifice. You will see several names of members of the same family and even the reverend served. would like some information on the bounsell family , from Coolgardie area , orabanda . kunaniling . 1910 onwards. from ray bounsell
Hi Ray Do you remember me from when I worked at the WA Museum in Kalgoorlie?
Ray Bounsell. I have a photo of George Bounsell (uncle Manny) and your mum ( aunty Shirley) on their wedding day. I have been trying to find anyone related so I can pass it on. You guys are hard to find. I am your Cousin, Christine. My mother Margaret Patricia BOUNSELL. (Aunty Pat). I do not know what to do now. Don’t want to put details on facebook.
Ray, I also have photo of Nellie Christina KEMP. SHE is our mutual nana. She married George Selby BOUNSELL in about 1909, 1910. Aunty Biddy (young Nellie born 1910). Goldfields.
Then your dad, George, (Manny). Then Alice(Doodie) then Sydney Robin, then my mum Margaret Patricia. Aunty Pat. (Boobie) Also a photo of Grandad Bounsell and Nana BOUNSELL at Vincent St North Perth. Glad to send these on but again, want to keep my details off facebook. Except email, I suppose?
Hi Christine. long time no see, would like a copy of the photos.
Hi Ray. I’m glad to scan photo’s into my computer, then email or sms or print and snail mail. We could swap details through this site if that is a good idea. I’m no good at computer stuff, just want it to go smoothly and securely. Christine Foster. (Married surname: BILL.) Yes, I know. Weird name. Do you have anything I might be interested in?. Thanks, Chrissy
Ray, I also a copy of the book Uncle Robin in early 1990’s. All about Kununalling, etc. Glad to scan and share. Again don’t know how. I”m happy to put my mobile on here, just don’t want ‘randoms’ ringing me. Bye for now. Maybe Rhonda or Gerald could contact me if you are busy. Chrissy
Hi Moya,
You have Millen Roy on the Roll Of Honour … McMillan was my gg grandma’s father (Alexander McMillan) so I’m thinking Millen Roy might belong to me, if he is related to Stanley Roy on the Roll Of Honour … Stanley’s father being Angus John Roy from the Boulder Pipe Band & Stephen Roy also in the Pipe Band 🙂 X
