A RECORD CHRISTENING.
Rather a novel time was spent recently at the Bummer’s Creek hostelry, that quaint way-side inn between Malcolm and Morgans.
Fifteen babies is a fair christening record for one day, and. it was surprising where they all came from. Rebecca and Margery from Murrin : John Albert and Percy from Malcolm : Ethel, Maud, and Alberto from Websters; an Irene or Rose or two from The United ; and several up-to-date names from the closer neighbourhood. Plain Ann and Ellen were discarded, tho nomenclature was right up-to-date.
A service was held in the hall, the place being nicely decorated with flowers from a well-known garden.
Rev. Mr. Ryall, of Morgans, officiated, riding per bike for the special occasion.
